The last Jordan 3s I got were the Mocha 3s in 2019. Over a year later, these Air Jordan 3 Cool Grey join the ranks!
The shoe is a retro of a colorway that released originally in 2007. Although the words “cool grey” don’t appear on the box label at all as far as colorway, Nike still has them listed as such on their product launch page.
These ship in a special grey and cement box with a flip open style lid adorned with a red jumpman. This box closely mirrors the look of the actual shoe. These also ship with flat white laces, and that’s it for what comes with the shoe.
These were a definite cop for me. I’m glad to finally have this colorway in the collection after watching everyone else rock pairs for the last 13-14 years.
How Are The Materials?
According to Nike, the upper is comprised of genuine leather. It appears to be a nubuck of some sort. I will say the leather has the appearance of quality and overall seems very nice. Texturally, it’s not the softest though. Both the elephant print and the rest of the upper seem to have a similar texture. These do give off a premium vibe, but my nitpick here is that I wish the material was just a tad more soft to the touch. The natural grain is nice and the shoe even produces a slight backstroke on some parts. While the shoe is not super soft, it’s at least kind of soft, and it looks great, so overall I think Nike did a good job on the quality here.
How Do They Fit?
These Air Jordan 3 Cool Grey fit true to size for me. I find the comfort on these to be very good for a Jordan retro. Some people’s feet don’t agree with the 3, so your mileage may vary, however for me it is among the comfier Air Jordan retros.
